Grieve Bravely

“My grief and pain are mine.  I have earned them.  They are part of me.  Only in feeling them do I open myself to the lessons they can teach.” – Anne Wilson Schaff Plans

Burial Garments

Awakening Grace has been blessed with wedding dress donations by families from across the quad-state area. These dresses are used to create beautiful, one of a kind burial garments for babies lost during pregnancy and infancy. Burial garments include sleep sacks for early miscarriages, angel wraps for late miscarriages, and gowns/suits for stillbirths and infant losses.  Wedding dresses are also used for the handmade bears included in each care package. Burial garments can be requested from the organization directly, but are also given to local hospitals to be provided at the time of loss. To learn more about donating your wedding dress, please email us at contact@theawakeninggracefoundation.org.

Arrows of Hope

Awakening Grace has chosen to serve families experiencing the tragic loss of a child during pregnancy and infancy by sending love and hope in the form of a care package. Our care packages are fondly referred to as “Arrows of Hope” as we like to think we are sending out a bit of hope to each family that receives one. Each Arrow includes the following:

  • birthstone charm bracelet
  • handmade “hope” keychain
  • lotion
  • lip balm
  • journal and pen
  • candle
  • Kleenex
  • snacks (including Stroopwaffels for our Dutch origin)
  • handmade wedding dress bear
  • recommended booklist

To recommend someone to receive or something to add to our Arrows of Hope, please contact us at contact@theawakeninggracefoundation.org.
